Hi! I love hearing from my people and because I get a lot of the same questions via email, I’d like to take a moment to answer the most common ones here. If you don’t find the answer you are looking for, use the form below the FAQ to contact me.

 

I think you use too much foul language and would prefer that you didn’t. Do you mind using it less so that I can enjoy your blog more?

I understand that some folks are not comfortable with the language I use. I’m also understand that I am not the coach for everyone. One of the most essential things I teach my clients is that making peace with food is 100% about making peace with who you are and I live by example. So, I show up in everything I do, whether it is my blog, on social media or in coaching, as openly, transparently and authentically as possible. And that includes cussing like a sailor.

I learned a long time ago that it does not serve me to apologize for who I am. I lived most of my life bending so that other people would like me and I don’t do that anymore. I love who I am.  The good news is that around here, I get to be me and you get to be you. No pretend relationships or people pleasing necessary.

What do you think of Weight Watchers?

I don’t believe that diets work for the long term because they don’t address the root cause of an unhealthy relationship with food and poor body image. However, I don’t think that being on a diet is inherently wrong either because for most women, it is simply a part of the journey to try the dieting avenue first. But, my approach is solely based on working on the root cause which means we are going to start by working through why you are dieting and we are gonna go much deeper than “because I want to lose weight”. If you are ready to go deeper, I’d invite you to stick around.
